Trainer positions involve working with individuals with disabilities, providing support, instruction, advocacy, transportation, and personal care. Trainers will participate with coworkers in defining program goals, team objectives, individual schedules, case management, and problem solving.
Applicants should have: Basic knowledge of developmental disabilities, including personal care needs, and how they affect basic life activities; Basic knowledge of learning styles and an ability to instruct adults with developmental disabilities; Communicate professionally and effectively with individuals with disabilities, parents/guardians, other service providers, employers, MARC staff and others; the ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
Applicants should have High School Diploma or GED, possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license with a good driving record.
Instructor positions involve working with individuals with disabilities, providing support, instruction, advocacy, transportation, personal care, providing case management. Instructors will initiate program goals, team objectives, individual schedules, and problem solving.
Instructors should have: Knowledge of learning styles and an ability to instruct adults with developmental disabilities; Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with individuals with disabilities; Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds. Instructors will provide assistance in assessing the needs, strengths, and capabilities of individuals with developmental disabilities, research and implement instructional strategies.
Applicants should have High School diploma or GED, experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, and possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license with a good driving record.
Specialist positions involve working with individuals with developmental disabilities, providing support, instruction, advocacy, transportation, personal care, developing program goals, team objectives and actively problem solving.
Specialists should have: Knowledge of developmental disabilities including personal care and how they affect basic life activities; Knowledge of learning styles and an ability to instruct adults with developmental disabilities; Ability to communicate professionally with individuals with disabilities, parents/guardians, others service providers, employers, MARC staff and others; Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds.
Specialists must assess the needs, strengths, and capabilities of individuals with developmental disabilities; Organize, plan and implement effective job development which results in paid, integrated placements based upon individual abilities; Research, develop, and implement instructional strategies.
Specialists should have an Associates Degree in Special Education, Vocational Rehabilitation, or a related field and one or more years of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities (Each additional year of relevant experience may substitute for one year of post-secondary education). Applicants must possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license with a good driving record.
