Let's have a conscience and not cut funding for people who cannot help themselves -- the developmentally disabled, seniors and children.Caretakers are underpaid; service providers under contract to Dane County have not received a decent cost-of-living wage increase for years, while their county employee equivalents have received comparatively generous increases in compensation during the same time period. Let's get smart and sell off Badger Prairie Health Care Center. That's not the place for county government. Privatize it so it can be run like a business. And at the same time, make a commitment to compensate our providers of service employees with wages and raises equivalent to those we provide to our county employees. Joe Campana Madison
